'Five Second' Rule for Dropped Food Unsafe
Who ever seriously thinks that there’s a safe time window after food is dropped is close to delusional. I’m a parent and we jokingly say this just to shake off the fact that our kid is shoving food off the ground in his mouth. But yes, we know it now has germs on it.
It’s a shame it takes a scientist to explain this to us. And that scientist take all the fun out of urban myths.
